    Spiral bound book printing is more durable than staple bound but displays a professional appearance for any presentation.

    COLOR AND BLACK & WHITE YOUR WAY
    Minuteman Press produces full-color bound books and also black & white bound books. But what if you need both color and black & white in the same book? Some other companies offer only color or black & white. So, with another company, you would end up paying for color, even to print the black & white portion.

    At Minuteman Press, you can specify which pages of your book you want in color and which in black & white, so that you only pay color fees for the color portion.

    And just like our color and our black & white bound books, we offer several kinds of binding, including:

    SPIRAL BINDING
    Maximum thickness – 350 pages on 24/60# Smooth Paper

    Spiral binding (also known as “coil binding”) inserts a plastic coil through a series of small holes drilled or punched down the left side of the pages and cover, allowing the printed material to lay flat on a table or to be folded completely in half. It is ideal for:

        • Wall calendars
        • Cookbooks
        • Travel guides
        • Sales presentations
        • Instructional manuals

    Spiral binding can be used for anything from pocket-sized books to larger formats. Coils are available in various sizes to match the book’s thickness and complement your cover.

    • Text weight papers are thin like everyday copy paper. Cover weight papers are thicker like cardstock. The numbers next to the paper represent the weight of the paper. The higher the number, the thicker the paper. Smooth Paper has a matte finish.

    • Double Sided Copies must have 2 or more pages in File


    • The paper type you want for the cover of the book. Text weight papers are thin like everyday copy paper. Cover weight papers are thicker like card stock.


    • Bleeds are when the artwork extends to the edge of the sheet. Without bleeds, there will be a 1/8 inch white margin around the edge. Bleeds require a special file setup.


    • Print binding involves the fastening of individual sheets together.
      Spiral Bound is a plastic coil that is used to bind pages together.
      Perfect Bound is Inside sheets are glued into a thick cover creating a seamless bind.


    • We will begin production if no proof is needed. A emailed proof normally takes less than 1 business day. A hard copy or physical proof will be ready in 1-2 business days. After reviewing the proof, you can upload new files with revisions or contact us to make adjustments. If no changes are needed, send us a email with your approval and we will begin production.
